How To Make Homemade Ginger Syrup
Use ginger syrup in carbonated water for a quick ginger ale, try it drizzled on fruit, stirred into iced tea or even added to stir fry.
8 ounces fresh ginger
4 cups water
2 cups sugar
pinch sea salt
Chop the ginger into small pieces. It helps to cut it into thin slices first, then chop. Place the water, sugar, salt and ginger into a saucepan. Bring to a boil then simmer for about a hour. Let cool then strain into a jar and store in the refrigerator. Use within a couple of weeks.
